Manatee Mamas brings homeschool families together through meaningful connections, hands-on learning and memorable shared experiences.
Each month, our Community Members explore a new learning theme through Discovery Days, Educational Adventures and opportunities to connect with the same families again and again.
The goal is simple: give kids enriching experiences and real friendships, while giving moms a welcoming community to belong to along the way.
what to expect each month
Our main monthly events are scheduled on Fridays. Our schedule is designed to give families a balance of community, hands-on learning and real-world experiences.
1st Friday- Community Day
A relaxed, community-focused gathering for connection, friendship and fun.
2nd Friday- Educational Adventure
A themed field trip or real-world experience.
3rd Friday- Discovery Day
A hands-on enrichment experience connected to the month’s learning theme.
4th Friday- Educational Adventure
A second themed field trip or real-world learning experience.
Varied Days - Special Experiences
*This is our typical Friday schedule. Months affected by holidays, seasonal breaks, venue or other calendar considerations may have fewer Friday events. Any changes will always be reflected in the Manatee Mamas Calendar.
Special Experiences
May be offered throughout the month on days other than Friday. Some will be planned well in advance, while others may be added with shorter notice. We aim to post most Special Experiences by the 15th of the prior month, with occasional additional opportunities added as they become available.
Calendar & Registration
Upcoming events and calendar updates will also be shared on the Manatee Mamas social media pages. Registration is required for all Community Days, Discovery Days, Educational Adventures and special experiences, even when the event is included for Community Members. Some events may have limited capacity, so advance registration is strongly encouraged. Event-specific details, including capacity, age recommendations, costs, and registration deadlines, will be noted when each event is posted.

The program gives your family access to Community Days and Discovery Days, community-member savings on Educational Adventures, priority registration for Educational Adventures and Special Experiences, access to community-only Special Experiences when offered and additional enrichment resources such as Monthly Learning Companions during select months.

The monthly enrichment fee covers your family, rather than requiring a separate enrollment for each child.

Educational Adventures are registered and paid for separately because admission and activity costs vary by experience. Community Members receive preferred pricing compared with families participating through Individual Experience options.

Yes. Registration is required for all Community Days, Discovery Days, Educational Adventures and Special Experiences, including events included in your monthly enrollment. Some experiences have limited capacity and may fill up.

Our schedule is designed around Friday programming, but holidays, seasonal breaks, venue availability and other calendar considerations may occasionally result in fewer events. The current schedule will always be reflected on the Manatee Mamas calendar.

Yes! Families who prefer more flexibility may register for individual Educational Adventures and select open Special Experiences when space is available. Community Days, Discovery Days and certain Special Experiences are reserved for families enrolled in the Enrichment Program.

Special Experiences may happen throughout the month and aren’t limited to Fridays. We aim to announce most by the 15th of the prior month, while leaving room to add unique opportunities as they become available.

Manatee Mamas is primarily designed for elementary-aged children and their siblings. Many experiences are appropriate for children ages 3-13, but any age is welcome. Because activities and venues vary, parents can determine whether an individual experience is a good fit for their child.

Yes. Monthly enrollment can be canceled for future billing periods.
