Our main group events are on Fridays.
Because of holidays, venue availability, and special programming, the number and type of events may vary from month to month.
Every month we also have extra opportunities to connect, learn and grow, that are on different days of the week. You can see all scheduled events under the Events & Calendar tab. Most events are finalized for the following month by the 15th of the month prior.
-
Our main Friday events are designed with K-6th grade learners in mind, although many experiences are appropriate for children younger or older. Age recommendations may vary by activity and families are encouraged to use their discretion when deciding wether an experience is a good fit for their child.

No. Monthly Enrichment Program families can choose which included experiences work for their families schedule. There is no requirement to attend events but it is encouraged, as to help foster a greater sense of community and build deeper friendships.
-
Manatee Mamas experiences take place throughout Manatee County and surrounding areas. Locations vary depending on the activity and may include parks, libraries, educational venues, local businesses, nature preserves, museums, and other community spaces.
Occasionally, we offer farther-away Special Experiences or Educational Adventures. These are often 30+ minutes away from our typical areas.
-
Manatee Mamas uses monthly learning themes to inspire our enrichment experiences rather than following one fixed curriculum. Activities and Educational Adventures are designed to encourage curiosity, exploration, connection, and hands-on learning.
Families remain free to use whatever homeschool curriculum or educational approach works best for them.
-
No. Manatee Mamas is an educational enrichment and homeschool community, not a school or traditional homeschool co-op. Families remain responsible for their children's home education and choose which Manatee Mamas experiences complement their homeschool.
-
Manatee Mamas is not a faith-based organization or religious program. Our founder is Christian, and those values naturally influence the way she leads and makes decisions for the community. Families may occasionally encounter Christian beliefs, references, or perspectives through community interactions or participating providers. We believe each family is best equipped to decide which experiences are a good fit for themselves and their children.
-
Yes! Manatee Mamas was intentionally created with the whole family in mind. Sibling participation will depend on the individual activity, venue requirements, age restrictions, and capacity, so families should review each event listing before registering.
-
Occasionally, weather, venue availability, provider changes, holidays, or circumstances outside our control may require an event to be modified, rescheduled, or canceled. Registered families will be notified of significant changes, and any applicable refund or credit will follow the cancellation policy for that particular registration.
-
Not at this time. Manatee Mamas is not currently an approved Step Up For Students provider. We may explore becoming an approved provider in the future as our enrichment programming continues to grow.
Families who participate in Manatee Mamas will receive documentation of their purchases through our registration system. Families are responsible for determining whether an expense is eligible for reimbursement through their individual scholarship program and for submitting any required documentation.
